Solution 1: Enable Hidden Devices

If you disabled the touch screen input for your device, there is a chance that Windows decided to hide the touch screen. Firstly, make sure that the device is not hidden from the device manager. It is actually a very easy action to perform, and you can do so from within the device manager itself by following these steps:

  1. Open a Run dialog by pressing Win + R.
  2. Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to launch the device manager.
  3. Navigate to the View tab and click on it.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select Show hidden devices.

    set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1

  1. Next, in a Run window type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to launch the Device Manager.
  2. Inside the Device Manager, from the View menu, select Show Hidden Devices.
When you enable Show hidden devices, you will be able to see all the device drivers that failed to uninstall correctly on your computer. When you find the corrupted device driver, uninstall the device from your system by selecting the appropriate option from the right-click context menu.
